ABOUT MARK SMITH

After working at Ingram Micro, one of the largest IT Distributors for 8+ years as the UK Inventory Manager, I moved on to Storm Technologies and have been here 17 years. where did they go. Well, I started at Storm in 2005 as Configuration Centre Engineer, where my day consisted of upgrading and imaging customers IT hardware. Moving on to a large Windows XP rollout for a global mobile phone company I found myself in the position of an IT Field Engineer, carrying out many large IT Deployment Rollouts for London Fire Brigade, Pre a Manger, Leonard Cheshire Disability, Northern Trust and Symbian Software to name a few. From this role, I went on to head up the IT Services Team, where I planned rollouts and started our Break-Fix offering and looked after a team of 10 Field Engineers. Next on my journey was the role of Head of IT for Storm where I headed up our internal IT team, Helpdesk, Service Desk and Services Team. Today, I am in the position of Operations & Logistics Director, where I look after a variety of teams and areas: Configuration Centre Warehouse Export & Logistics Returns Project Ops Facilities (Security and Facilities for our HQ & LC) ISO Sustainability Data Protection Officer I look forward to many more years growing and developing here at Storm Technologies.
