I am the Economy and Politics Content Director for the Orlando Sentinel, which means I manage the reporters and editors who cover state politics, business, jobs and consumer news for OrlandoSentinel.com, an EPPY award-winning subscription website called GrowthSpotter.com and the print edition. I was promoted into this job in March 2018.Previously, I was the editor in charge of state news, politics and education coverage. I\'ve held several other editing jobs at the Orlando Sentinel since 1988. I\'ve directed coverage of presidential, state and local elections and several legislative sessions. I\'ve also led teams covering hurricanes and specialty beats such as health, transportation and social services. I was part of a Pulitzer Prize-nominated team that covered the Pulse nightclub massacre of 2016.

As of June 7, 2024, I am a retired newspaper editor. Over the years, I led teams covering presidential and state elections, several hurricanes and other major breaking news stories. In my last assignment, I coordinated coverage of politics and business news. I am in search of a new adventure as a volunteer. I also plan to travel much more.
