Experience

  1. Principal Engineer Office Strategy and Planning Manager

    Xerox

Jun 2013 — Present · Rochester, NY, US

I am responsible for Product Planning for the Xerox Office Portfolio. My responsibilities include: interfacing with the various development teams (both Xerox and Fuji Business Innovations teams) to communicate requirements, working with the development teams to ensure that the deliveries meet the requirements, bench-marking competitive offerings, capturing additional requirements so they can be assessed and prioritized for the business, and obtaining worldwide buy-in from Sales and Marketing representatives across the entire value chain. As part of my responsibilities during launch cycles, I work directly with the Marketing and Training teams to communicate feature content, value and assessment against the competition. On top of my planning role, I\'m working with other engineering teams to re-define how we work together and leverage best practices to create a cohesive Xerox story.Since 2019, I\'ve expanded my role to work across multiple teams within Xerox focusing on collaboration on special projects. These projects are driven by the Executive Board and aimed at overall business simplification and transformation activities. As a side project, I converted our current process of managing product requirements via an Excel spreadsheet and converted to use a C++ application that interfaced with a relational database. From the application, users can generate MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Word documents for planning purposes. A dynamic document builder component allows quick and easy generation of White Papers and technical documents from the details within the requirements. Now requirements can be shared across multiple teams and managed by more than one person.
