An able communicator with reportees, colleagues, other departments, members of the public and senior managers both verbally and in writing concerning matters of varying levels of sensitivity and confidentiality. Familiar with all aspects of Compliance & Regulatory Risk including but not limited to conduct, anti-bribery / corruption (ABC), data protection (implemented GDPR compliance as DPO) complaints, T & Cs, anti-money laundering / financial & economic crime and senior management controls (Approved Persons). Experience of dealing with impact of international regulatory change (MIFID II, Payment Services Directive & Regulations (PSR), FATCA and the Deposit Guarantee Directive changes). Experienced in representing (and signing off on behalf of) Compliance & legal in Projects (delivery of new products and implementing regulatory change). Writing Global (International Bank & Insurance Group) and local (business unit) Policy, Guidance and Training material as well as dealing with queries from Compliance Officers and Senior Management all over the world on interpretation and implementation of Policy and therefore appreciates the cultural aspects of dealing with change in complex organisations). Mark Savill attained his MBA in 2012 and also holds the Financial Planning Certificates. In his current role he is based in the City.
