ABOUT MARK REIF
I take readers on a journey, whether snowboarding down Vermont’s highest peak or watching a San Diego sunrise. At The Manual, I channel my outdoor expertise and passion for exploring while writing about interesting places and the latest gear. Writing Portfolio: also have a passion for design across mediums, including industrial and UX. That includes a B.S. in Industrial Design from Virginia Tech and the completion of the Postgrad Program in UX Design at The University of Texas at AustinDesign Portfolio: markreif.framer.websiteI’m a lifelong snowboarder with expertise in the sport’s history and equipment, and also work as an instructor. I\'ve served as a coach for the Burton Chill program, where I teach disadvantaged youth how to snowboard while they learn important life values. In summer, I trail run and have competed in several ultramarathons. In January 2026, my third poetry book,\"Mountain Existence,\" debuted, describing a life dedicated to the mountains.
