Successfully managed multiple transmission, distribution, and substation engineering and construction projects for ComEd throughout northern Illinois, including-installation of infrastructure at Electric Junction necessary to allow the rapid connection of a volt to volt 40MVA portable transformer (flat bed delivered) to be deployed for planned or emergency outages-phase one planning and design of nearly two miles of new underground distribution conduit. The route included crossings under I-88 Tollway (shafts and tunnel), the DuPage Prairie Path, the Canadian Northern Railroad, and Diehl and Eola Roads-transmission and distribution modifications to remedy NERC clearance violations on multiple volt overhead transmission lines-replacement of relays on two volt transmission lines interconnecting ComEd and ATC substations at the Illinois-Wisconsin border. The work included relaying and fiber modifications as well as physical infrastructure work (removal of wavetrap, tuner, and CCVT)-performed project management to produce a detailed engineering study and estimate for a customer to interconnect a new 18.4MW wind farm. The work included all the requirements to interconnect with the ComEd system, including relaying and protection, SCADA settings, radio communications between the interconnect site and the ComEd substation, pole-mounted primary (34KV) metering, and overhead 34KV line work.
