About Mark Ratway
I am a versatile and creative trial lawyer with a wide breadth of experience. With the ability to learn complex technologies, I have litigated trade secret misappropriation and patent infringement lawsuits in federal courts across the United States. My practice has also included defending clients in bet-the-business lawsuits, business divorces, and complex, multi-party cases in state and federal courts. Given that many intellectual property and business disputes involve employment issues, I have robust experience with labor and employment claims and cases as well. I also enjoy the structure and challenge of commercial arbitration and have the ability to think outside of the box in settling disputes in less formal tribunals-> My favorite part about litigating is the chance to tell compelling stories. See one of my award-winning stories here: https://lsc-pagepro.mydigitalpublication.com/publication/?i=708308 & article_id=40•••59 & view=articleBrowser-> As a former federal law clerk, I have an understanding of how courts function and think and use that to guide clients through lawsuits-> I pride myself on, first and foremost,*listening* to clients and trying to understand the business purpose for every recommended strategy-> Outside of my practice and profession, I enjoy spending time with my wife, son, and chocolate lab.
