About Mark Ramach

As Vice President of Innovation at GTT, it’s my job to lead engineering of everything from our digital buying experience for complex software defined networking products, product automation and service activation, as well as the physical fulfillment of customer on-premises devices. My organization designs and builds robust automation to meet demanding product requirements. My focus as VP of Innovation isn’t just to solve the immediate problem in front of me, rather build the platforms that will allow us to solve problems we haven’t dreamed of yet. I want to give my teams the tools and training to make them successful solving problems as fast as possible. This includes providing guidance on day-to-day engineering best practices, while still giving teams the autonomy to self-organize and define the agile process for themselves. There is no one size fits all for all teams.I have had an extreme focus on cloud-native development strategies. As an early adopter of Kubetnetes and container technologies, I’ve witnessed firsthand how a unique application of long existing software can reshape the future of technology. My teams work in a cloud first environment, removing the need to self-manage data sources and messaging systems among many others. We focus on solving the customer’s problem first. Working in network technology is an extremely rewarding field. It’s incredibly challenging at times. It’s constantly evolving. It has an amazing impact on all of humanity. Anyone with a digital device worldwide is a consumer of our products. That is why I work with Product Owners every single day to help define the buying, consumption, and support experiences of our products. If my Product Owners don’t know what is possible, how do we innovate.
