Cobbs Adventure Park is a hybrid petting zoo with fun activities for all ages. Non profit attached to Cobbs is the Cobbs Exotic Animal Rescue and Education. Non profit teaches people about exotic animals and the care required before considering to purchase an animal. Cobbs exotic also accepts animals surrendered due to hardships with owning an exotic animal.

Some personal info. I have ADHD, school was very difficult as a kid/teen, Foothills academy played a huge role ensuring I finished high school. My daughter Grace Powers was born in 2008. My son Odin was born in 2016! Love my kids, love working at whatever I do and love animals!I worked at the Drop-In Centre & Rehab Centre Society (The DI), started in 2001. My first job at the centre was cleaning toilets and laying out beds for homeless individuals. As my career at the centre evolved I started doing more work with homeless individuals and vulnerable people. I worked nights, afternoons and days as an adult care worker. In 2007 I was promoted to Manager of Volunteer serivces. In 2012 I was promoted to Manager, Fund Development. In 2016 started working at The DIs Donation Centre with the same title. 2017 was a Top 40 Under 40 winner. Thank you Michael Kehoe for the nomination. 2019 worked with an awesome crew growing a recycling program and Free Household Goods program for people in need. In spring 2019 the Free goods program I overseen won a Hope Award! In 2020 went on to explore a new chapter in my life. It lead me to applying at Canada Post. Always loved the mail and mail services. I got a temp position and in early 2022 got a permanent PT position within the company. Enjoyed being a PT letter carrier and even inside Depot Assistant. In 2022 was asked to be apart of the team at Cobbs Adventure Park and in 2023 took on the role of General Manager. In early 2024 attached ED to my title for the Exotic Rescue side of things. Skills include- Booking/managing large volunteer groups, managing staff, working with vulnerable individuals, donations/fund raising, helping raise awareness of homelessness, Microsoft programs, proposal writing, networking and a good husband-Worked on ways to create sustainable funding for The DI, entrepreneurship-Kept a massive re build and new build on track for the last two years at Cobb’s-Working towards building the park’s infrastructure and sustainability for its non profit side.
