ABOUT MARK POTTS
I believe Supply Chain Management is one of the best fields to build a long term rewarding career, and my mission is to make these careers more accessible, practical, and achievable for early career professionals.Over the past decade, I’ve led logistics and operations teams at Amazon and CHEP, improving delivery performance, driving cost savings, and executing continuous improvement initiatives that produced measurable results. From facilitating Kaizen events to delivering six figure cost savings projects, I’ve seen firsthand how small process changes can create massive impact. But my work doesn’t stop with operations. I’m passionate about mentorship and education. As an Instructor for the Supply Chain Coordinator course at CourseCareers, I help the next generation of Supply Chain Leaders break into the field with confidence. Teaching has reinforced a simple truth: complex systems can be broken down into approachable steps, and with the right guidance, anyone can build a career in this field.Beyond the classroom and the workplace, I also co-founded the Go Further Foundation, a community dedicated to supporting young professionals in their careers and well-being. Through peer mentorship, leadership coaching, and mental health advocacy, we’ve created a space for people to grow both personally and professionally and be a constant reminder that nobody is on their journey aloneI consider myself a lifelong learner holding a PMP, CSM, Lean Six Sigma experience, and completing my undergraduate and graduate studies at Kansas State University. I believe in sharing what I’ve learned along the way, whether it’s through leading teams, teaching students, or building communities. At my core, I’m driven by:Mentorship: Helping others see possibilities they didn’t know existed.Continuous improvement: Finding smarter ways to move goods, serve customers, and grow teams.Education & Community: Creating accessible entry points into supply chain and building networks of support for emerging professionals. If you’re curious about Supply Chain, exploring a career change, or simply want to talk Supply Chain, leadership, or community impact — let’s connect!
