ABOUT MARK OWENS
I retired from State Farm on March 31st, 2018 after 33 years of working in IT (Systems). During this time, I managed almost every Infrastructure Support Area in my 16 years as a first line manager and as an IT Architect. Prior to that, I was a technical analyst and worked in various server and mainframe areas.I was an adjunct instructor at Illinois State University, for seven years and I retired effective Spring 2025.I am currently working part-time in the IT department at The City of Bloomington Il and have been there since the Fall of 2020.I helped fund and start the Enterprise Computing Curriculum at ISU, and chaired ISU\'s Business and Industry Advisory Council until the time of my retirement from State Farm in 2018. I continue to be active in the BIAC Committee when we meet bi-annually.
