As the Head of School at The Lang School, I lead a team of educators and staff who are dedicated to providing a personalized and rigorous education for twice-exceptional students. With over 20 years of experience in the education sector, I have developed a deep understanding of the diverse needs and strengths of this population, and how to best support their academic, social, and emotional growth.Prior to joining The Lang School, I served as the Executive Director for the Office of Nonpublic Schools at the NYC Department of Education, where I oversaw the implementation of grant funded programs and instructional policies and programs for over 900 nonpublic schools across the city. I also worked as the Director of Special Education at the Brooklyn North Field Support Center, where I provided guidance and resources for schools to enhance their special education services and outcomes. Through these roles, I have honed my skills in educational leadership, teacher training, management, and organizational change. I am passionate about creating inclusive and equitable learning environments that foster innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
