Sterling Restaurants was founded in July 2009 with the idea that we could build a successful company around purchasing, renovating and running Moe\'s SW Grill restaurants. As of March 2018, Sterling owns 60 Moe’s SW Grill restaurants and 1 Shane’s Rib Shack. Sterling Restaurants was named the 2018 Moe\'s SW Grill Franchisee of the Year, and also was named by the International Franchise Association as 2016 Moe’s SW Grill Franchisee of the Year. In addition, Sterling has won the 2016 Caterer of the Year, 2014 Local Store Marketing champion, the 2012 Operational Excellence Award, and was Shane’s Rib Shack’s Franchisee of the Year in 2011. The company\'s Core Values are to Run it Like you Own it, Elevate Others, Always do the Right Thing and Live Positive! Our Core Values govern all of our interactions and are how we treat people and also how we expect to be treated. If we are going to succeed, we want to do it the right way. Lastly, we also believe in \"to whom much is given, much is expected\". We are big believers in business’s role in giving back to the community and have established a policy of giving 5% of our profits back to charities local to each store. In the first 90 months of our existence, the company has donated $350k to over 250 local charities.
