With close to 10 years’ experience in social housing, I’m passionate about improving homes and communities through sustainable, future-focused solutions.In my current role as Net Zero Coordinator, I lead on securing funding for green technologies, supporting the integration of IoT across residential and commercial properties, and delivering projects that contribute to the UK’s transition to net zero.I have successfully secured £1.6m in ECO4 funding to support retrofit and energy efficiency initiatives and contribute to Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (WHSHF) projects delivering decarbonisation measures across homes in Teesside.Alongside this, I manage a £250k Feed-in Tariff solar PV portfolio, ensuring system performance, compliance and long-term revenue generation.My role also involves coordinating contractors and on-site improvement works, ensuring residents have a positive experience throughout the delivery of sustainability and retrofit initiatives. I support programme monitoring and reporting through tools such as Power BI, Excel and sector-specific asset systems, providing clear data-driven insights to internal stakeholders.Currently, I’m completing an HNC in Construction Management to further develop my technical understanding of building performance and retrofit delivery.I’m motivated by work that blends sustainability, technology and community impact, and I’m always keen to connect with others working to improve the quality and performance of homes across the social housing sector.
