ABOUT MARK MALONE

Although originally from Baltimore, I\'ve proudly called Charleston home since 1995, and that connection to the coast has shaped everything about how I work. A graduate of the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Communications and a licensed South Carolina Real Estate Agent, I have spent 17 years with Charleston Coast Vacations by Dunes Properties, where I oversee 100+ short-term rental properties along the Charleston coast. I lead and contribute to all aspects of operations including advertising, budgeting, performance optimization, and a team of property managers and support staff. But the work I\'m most proud of is developing people. I hire, train, and mentor managers, helping them become confident, composed professionals who know how to handle the unexpected with empathy and accountability. At the heart of my philosophy is a simple belief: the words you choose in difficult moments define your guest experience, your owner relationships, and your team culture. My favorite part of the job? Knowing that the properties I manage on behalf of the homeowners who trust us with their investments have been the backdrop for thousands of memories that families and friends will never forget. Outside of work, I\'ve been with my wife since 2023 and have a beautiful, brilliant six-year-old daughter who impresses me every single day.
