I am the Senior Partner at Devonshires and head up the Construction, Engineering and Procurement department. The team is made up of over 38 specialist construction and procurement lawyers carrying out work across a diverse range of sectors within the industry. Our clients include registered providers of social housing, local authorities, developers, main contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and private individuals. We operate from offices in London, Leeds, Birmingham and Colchester. I undertake dispute resolution work specialising in litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, adjudication and arbitration. My work covers all aspects of construction (time, money and quality) along with the wide range of asset management disputes that arise from time to time. I also advise clients on all aspects of European procurement law and regularly act for contracting authorities and economic operators in procurement disputes. The team has in recent years become leaders in advising our clients on the significant changes in the law brought about by the Building Safety Act and the regulatory regimes created around it. I also advise clients on health and safety law and assist with accident investigations, prosecutions and drafting health and safety policies and procedures. Our Construction team also has a large team of transactional construction lawyers, led by Asif Patel, that are instructed on large construction and development schemes and specialise in drafting and negotiating all forms of construction contracts and associated agreements.For further details about the work myself and the team undertake please visit our website at
