About Mark Kuo
Proud Taiwanese-American, hepatic oncology researcher, and volunteer EMT. I am seeking clinical research, lab technician, and entry patient care positions. I am a dedicated translational bench researcher with three years of laboratory leadership experience. My research at the Lombardi Cancer Center looked at early non-invasive detection of DNA adducts to assess hepatocellular carcinoma risk. My undergraduate education supplemented this work, where I studied molecular biology and bioethics. I am well-skilled in blood processing, confocal microscopy, and other biomedical research techniques. I am a fast learner committed to advancing cancer research and clinical practices. As a volunteer EMT for Prince George\'s County Fire/EMS, I am passionate about connecting my academic background to patient care. I work well under pressure, in small teams, and on a flexible schedule. My familiarity with medical terminology, electronic medical records, and vulnerable patient populations is my first step toward future career goals in clinical care.
