ABOUT MARK KLANJAC

Completed a General Pharmacy Practice Residency at Stanford Hospital and Clinics and became a board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. I have a wide range of experience working as a clinical pharmacist in the General Medicine, Ambulatory Treatment Infusion Center, CVICU, and Interventional Platform Areas. I have been serving as the Manager of Professional Development and Residency Program Director since October 2013. I successfully expanded the program from nine residents to fifteen, with the addition of PGY1 programs with an emphasis in Transitions of Care, Ambulatory Care, and Specialty Pharmacy. I also expanded the PGY2 Programs in Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership. I contributed to the workflow design for the new Stanford Health Care Hospital CVICU and Interventional Platform Areas, remodeling the clinical staffing design to increase throughput and patient safety. I also redesigned the Pharmacy Advancement Driver (Career Ladder); promoting clinical pharmacists to showcase their clinical knowledge and capabilities though international/national conferences and journal publications. Proven ability to multitask in fast-paced, high pressure environments while maintaining excellent patient and customer satisfaction levels at the highest level of professionalism.
