Working as a part of the Senior Leadership Team, the role demands flexibility to adapt to a variety of tasks, from recruiting and retaining members, to working with clients and other local agencies, whilst lobbying other key stakeholders. This diverse remit means I need to understand a wide range of highways, construction, and operational matters and be able to talk confidently about them with members and stakeholders at all levels. Currently Leading operations across the area 9 contract on behalf of national highways; delivery service that meets or exceeds customer requirements. Some tasks to date are; Contributing to the formulation of overall business strategy. Ensures continuous efficiencies in operating costs and margin impact. Responsible for budget design and P&L management of all operational functions. Ensuring operations are fully compliant with health and safety standards and legislation. Leading and driving continuous improvement/lean principles. Developing and promoting outstanding teams and encouraging ambition, growth and high performance
