ABOUT MARK LIGHTOWLER

Mark (Jon) is employed as the Street Scene Manager with Amey (Transport Infrastructure) on their \'Streets Ahead\' contract in Sheffield. He\'s been involved in the Facilities Management arena for over 20 years having previously enjoyed a 22 year career in HM Forces serving in the Corps of Royal Military Police; rising through the ranks before commissioning to the rank of Captain. He has held senior Business Excellence/Improvement appointments at both Mitie and OCS. He has a MSc in Six Sigma Quality (Service) and has helped pioneer the use of Lean Six Sigma methodologies into commercial cleaning. He has been a member of the British Quality Foundation (BQF) Lean Six Sigma steering committee as well as being a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. He has a demonstrated history of working in the facilities services industry; mainly in soft services but also with some limited hard service experience too. He is passionate about improving the ways of working for employees and clients alike. He is a strong operations professional; skilled in customer relationship, lean service design and implementation, ensuring efficient and effective solutions are delivered to client specification and expectation whilst also meeting the exigencies of the business. He has considerable experience in transformation management and demonstrates an astute understanding of change awareness and how change impacts on all the stakeholders involved.
