I started at Grant Thornton Jan 2011 As an sales tax intern during which I have had experience in engagements ranging from collection/review of exemption certificates to creation and implementation of client specific excel tools for calculations of items such as the Illinois Manufacturer\'s Purchase Credit and automated workpapers for sales tax returns.I have been directly involved in the audit defense of photographic and graphic design service clients in the process of New York state, Illinois SOT and ROT, and Canadia GST HST audits.Throughout my career I have worked closely with SAP ECC 6.0, and have been through several implementations of tax engines with SAP. This includes Vertex O Series 6.0 for US & Canada and OneSource Determination with the Global Next Connector.During implementations I was responsible for the core configuration within SAP and the Tax Engine for all tax requirements, including unit, functional, and user acceptance testing. I also consulted with clients during the requirements gathering to help ensure that the client tax departments were fully informed of all peculiarities of SAP to Tax Engine Implementation in order to ensure all requirements were covered.
