About Mark Janney

Mark is an ingenious R&D engineer with over 40 years\' experience in materials and process R&D, and in business development for new materials. From 2007 through 2019, he directed the R&D activities of Carbon Conversions, Inc.(CCI) to develop composite materials and processes based on chopped carbon, glass and natural fibers. His work focused on (1) technical developments in recycling carbon fiber and incorporating recycled carbon fibers into new components and (2) identifying and developing new markets for those products and processes, especially for laptop computers. Prior to joining CCI his areas of interest included high performance ceramics, ceramic processing and forming, carbon-carbon composites, metal and ceramic foams, sintering and micro­structure development, micro­wave processing of materials, and nuclear materials.
