About Mark J. Wilmot

I am a Managing Director in PwC’s Income Tax Center of Excellence. In this role, I co-lead a team of over 50 on-shore and off-shore PwC professionals in the audit of income taxes. Our group assists local engagement teams improve audit quality, efficiency, and leverage by using best practices, firm sponsored technology, and ASC 740 auditing expertise. My role enables me to help engagement teams enhance efficiency while improving quality so they can spend more time building relationships with clients and helping them solve important problems.Prior to my current role, I was a client service Director focusing on tax accounting (both audit and preparation), income tax compliance, and large outsourcing arrangements. I completed a tour of duty with the PwC National Tax Accounting Services group where I specialized in the complexities around accounting for income taxes. I focused on authoring thought leadership publications, leading learning and development initiatives, and presenting at live sessions related to ASC 740 - accounting for income taxes. I received my B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from Western Michigan University. I\'m a CPA licensed in Michigan and am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
