My current position involves managing an energy budget of £4M and a Project capital budget of £200K. I am also responsible for ensuring the Trust is compliant with all current Government regulations and Targets. Since being in post I have managed, with the aid of projects and staff interest, to reduce the Trusts carbon emissions by 32%. This has been achieved over the five years that I have been in post.Some of the main projects that I have been involved with are as follows:• Boiler flue Economiser, which was installed on the main winter boiler and has seen savings of, on average, 4.3%.• The upgrading of the main acute hospitals BMS system from closed system to an Open protocol system.• Replacement of the coal steam generating boiler plant to Gas, Low Temperature Hot water system at the Leigh Infirmary site.• Installation of smart, electrical, sub metering throughout the four main sites.• Installation of Gas AMR throughout the Trust.• Lighting Control and lighting replacement throughout the trust.• Introducing an Energy policy• Achieving the Carbon Trust Standard• Introducing ISO 14001 Environmental Management System• Replacing 2 off Super Low Loss transformers at Two of our sites
