I drive enterprise digital transformation through innovative legal thinking. On a day-to-day basis, I negotiate tech transactions and advise on artificial intelligence, privacy, cyber security, cloud product sales, data rights and other technology-related legal issues. Currently, I am Chief Privacy Officer and Vice President & General Counsel, Digital at Johnson Controls. In this role, I lead Johnson Controls\' Global Privacy Office and AI compliance function and I generally support Johnson Contorls\' IIoT transformation, including its digital product offerings, partnership ecosystems, and cyber security team. Previously, I worked as lead commercial counsel advising Caterpillar\'s Global Information Services Division on cyber security, conversion to cloud based systems and tools, and data localization and data privacy laws. Additionally, I supported Caterpillar\'s global procurement division, where I was lead counsel for negotiating various technology transactions, primarily cloud computing arrangements, software licensing agreements, and professional service arrangements. Prior to working at Caterpillar, I was an attorney at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c, one of the nation\'s largest 200 law firms, where I negotiated a wide range of commercial agreements, counseled public and private companies in a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, and counseled clients on business formation and capital raising.Core Competencies: technology transactions, AI/Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing arrangements, software licensing, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, data privacy compliance, data privacy and processing agreements, Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT, digital and software product readiness and development, general commercial transactions (including distribution, sale of goods, supply, and professional services agreements), cyber security, and data rights and localization issues.
