I\'ve always been a strong proponent of EV\'s and look forward to a future of clean, efficient propulsion, energy optimisation and advanced technologies.As the lead for Vehicle Architecture and Packaging my role is to act as the custodian of the complete digital vehicle package, ensuring that it meets legal, corporate/brand and manufacturing targets.I provide early support on programs, conduct feasibility studies, provide product-specific benchmarking and guide initial target parameter, marketing and performance settings. This role assumes substantial and reliable knowledge of:• Vehicle geometric architecture, development and major systems.• Design and Vehicle engineering functions.• Attribute target setting and balancing against brand identity and customer expectations.• Integration, clash detection and virtual builds.Furthermore, my role includes the requirements for the:• Presentation of feasible complete car or system schemes to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Director.• Identification of opportunities to reduce complexity, cost and weight.• Exploration of alternative or emerging technologies – analysis of risk to benefit ratios.In conjunction with the above, I believe and work towards the creation and management of processes that align, focus and streamline key assets workstreams to be in synergy with the Company’s brand objectives and identity.
