ABOUT MARK GILLESPIE

My portfolio of skills includes team leadership, project management, operations management, events management, recruitment & training, timetables & scheduling, workplace safety, client engagement, technical support, resource management, production setup, set checks & maintenance, performance management, regulatory compliance, and documentation. I have significant knowledge of the technical aspects of stage productions.A selection of my favourite career highlights include my management of operations for shipboard productions “Magic to Do” & “The Secret Silk” - created & directed by John Tartaglia and using Jim Henson’s incomparable puppets. I was responsible for the installation of technical equipment & stage reconstruction for the “Starlight Express” production in a marquee at Sydney Showgrounds and as Technical Director of Rose’s Nightclub, I managed sound & lighting effects for ten different shows over a 12-month period. I have a great deal of experience working with creatives within the theatrical and production arena, and a deep understanding of the unique requirements of shipboard and onshore productions.
