ABOUT MARK GIAMO

Mark currently holds dual leadership roles at BDO, serving as the Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (“FAAS”) Managing Principal nationally and the Market Managing Principal for the Assurance practice in the metro New York area. In his capacity as FAAS Managing Principal, Mark oversees three specialized practices: Third Party Attestation, Risk Advisory, and Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing. Throughout his career at BDO, Mark has held various leadership positions, including a nine-year tenure as the Managing Principal of the BDO New Jersey office, Managing Principal of the NY Metro Financial Services practice, and client service principal in both the NY Metro and Southern California practices. Since joining BDO in 1997, Mark has led numerous engagements for the firm\'s diverse clientele, which includes publicly-traded, privately held, multinational, private equity-sponsored, and growth-oriented companies across various industries. His industry expertise spans life sciences, software/SaaS, telecommunications, manufacturing and distribution, and technology. Mark dedicates a significant portion of his time to the operational and strategic development of the FAAS and NY Metro practices, focusing on people, quality, and growth. In his extensive career, Mark has developed deep expertise in working with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants, serving as both the engagement Principal and engagement quality control Principal. His experience with large clients has provided him with substantial knowledge in international operations, mergers and acquisitions, equity raises, and complex revenue recognition.
