With wide-ranging experience in leading complex projects and large teams, I am recognized as a champion of programmatic excellence, community partnerships, and strategies to expand access and inclusion.Parallel to my executive leadership roles, I am the founder and lead consultant with Mark George Consulting. I assist nonprofit organizations in transforming their bold visions into reality, helping them with strategic planning, operational management, fundraising, and governance issues.At the Music Instituted of Chicago, where I was proud to lead for fifteen years, I managed programs serving more than two-thousand students annually with national and international reach, supervised teams of twenty staff, raised over $35 million in philanthropic support, doubled endowment assets, and expanded institutional partnerships by 200%.I have a deep commitment to civic involvement and volunteerism, embracing board service with multiple organizations and volunteer consulting with the Executive Service Corps. I produced the largest community music service initiative in Chicago history and produced a colloquium called Equity and Access in Arts Education, which enlightened civic and business leaders and spawned new targeted programming.I am proud to have earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where I subsequently received the Distinguished Alumni Award.
