   Created, staffed and managed the Internal Audit team - grew department from 2 to ten professional staff; focus included financial, operational and IT reviews. Included development of policies, procedures, audit scoping, workprogram build, fieldwork oversight, reporting, follow-up, sharing of lessons learned, staff training and development. Key contributor on restatement remediation team: In response to a 2014 restatement and three material weaknesses (MW), created a SOX program, including SOX risk assessment and policy, and redesigned SOX controls related to MWs consistent with recent PCAOB standards on completeness and accuracy, precision and IPE; Impact: SOX controls passed design and operating efficiency testing for 2016; All three material weaknesses cleared prior to subsequent 10k filing. Implemented a global enterprise-wide risk assessment to identify and prioritize key company risks and develop the annual audit plan Implemented continuous monitoring technology to routinely detect and identify data anomalies across full populations - processes included gross to net (rebates, chargebacks, returns), payables and payroll, financial system access. Implemented cycle count program to monitor raw and FG inventories. Enabled 35% reduction in shrink levels over first year and elimination of year end counts (2 full production days)
