ABOUT MARK GALATI

I currently serve as Global Director, Contracts and Corporate Legal Services at Hatch, a global engineering and project management firm, where I manage a team of lawyers who implement legal strategy across the full lifecycle of major capital projects. My role involves partnering with executive leadership to mitigate risk, ensure compliance, and successfully support commercial projects across multi-jurisdictional operations. Previously, I practiced at Clyde & Co as part of the Litigation and Construction Law Groups, representing insurers, public authorities, consultants, and contractors in complex, multi-party disputes. I advised clients on litigation strategy, and insurance matters, appearing before various levels of court. I bring a strong foundation in dispute resolution, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance, with a proven ability to efficiently align legal strategy with business objectives. During my tenure as corporate counsel, I have developed subject matter expertise in employment law, intellectual property law, corporate law, procurement and international trade law. Where necessary, I can leverage a robust global network of external service providers to confidently resolve my client’s toughest challenges. I am a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the International Bar Association and the Society of Construction Law North America.
