About Mark Foraker

Mr. Foraker graduated in 1993 from UCLA with a BA in History. Shortly after graduation in 1993, he accepted a job as an Assistant Property Manager with R&B Realty Group - Oakwood Apartments and began his now 30+ year career in Property Management. Since 1993, he has operated and managed across the spectrum and across the country in Property Management while earning his IREM CPM designation in 2016.Currently he is Senior Vice President of Operations for Barvin, overseeing property management in Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio. Prior to that, he spent 3 years with Steadfast Management Company operating 35 to 40 assets / to units in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri where he successfully positioned the portfolio for a merger with IRT, a publicly traded company. Mark has also held senior leadership positions at Corvias (Business Director for Fort Bragg) in military property management, and at Dinersten Company (SVP and then President of Property Management).Over the course of his career, Mr. Foraker has gained extensive experience in virtually all sectors of property management, having responsibilities for operations (owner managed and fee managed), due diligence, acquisitions, dispositions, market research, corporate housing, condo conversion operations and sales, class A conventional and student lease up and operations, military housing operations, distressed asset re-positioning and re-branding, affordable housing management and compliance, as well as budgeting and asset management. He graduated from High School at Eielson AFB. In his spare time, Mr. Foraker devotes time and resources as an instrument rated pilot to Angel Flight, providing free private aircraft transportation to financially burdened medical patients and has been a volunteer canine foster for K-9 Angels in Houston Texas. He is also an avid scuba diver, hunter and an outdoor enthusiast.
