ABOUT MARK EVANS BENG FICE

A Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years experience of managing the engineering design and construction of Civil Engineering Projects within a client, consultant and contractor environment. I am able to show a career history of delivering high quality projects on time and within budget. I am a proficient leader and communicator being able to negotiate, influence and motivate personnel at all levels in my own, supplier and design organisations by creating the vision and the strategies need to achieve this. I am passionate about delivering complete client satisfaction during the whole life cycle of a project. I am presently managing an annual investment portfolio of in excess of £100m and responsible for over 300 directly employed staff and contractors delivering civil engineering projects across Network Rail\'s LNW route from London Euston to Scotland. I have created and grown an in-house Principal Contractor organisation which is now delivering £36m annual CAPEX across the full spectrum of civil engineering projects, with an independently verified 53% efficiency compared to the external market. I have also created and grown an internal design organisation that develops projects from remit to Approved for Construction design status, following the same assurance procedures as any externally operating consultancy, but imbedded with the PM and Delivery teams so that designs can be built safely, cost efficiently and meeting my clients\' requirements. The internal design team services now 75% of the annual construction requirements.
