As Public Historian I work with communities to preserve and promote the Upper Cumberland region\'s unique cultural resources. This work is accomplished primarily by working with local, state and federal governments and establishing partnerships with community organizations. Projects include writing National Park Service historic preservation grants, preparing National Register of Historic Places nominations and ensuring compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. As Dale Hollow RPO Coordinator I serve as liaison between TDOT and eight rural counties in the Upper Cumberland region: Clay, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Smith and Trousdale. I serve as the coordinator for the Cumberland National Scenic Byway.
