ABOUT MARK CORBETT
As the Director of the Biorenewables Development Centre, I lead our strategic direction, engaging with public and private sector organisations to drive the delivery of our grant and commercially funded programmes as well as leading our engagement with the University of York, the BioYorkshire initiative. I have more than 20 years’ experience working in academia and industry, delivering strategic research and innovation projects and partnerships. At the Biorenewables Development Centre, we offer a unique combination of multi-disciplinary expertise coupled with pilot-scale processing capabilities in one coordinated centre. Our biologists, chemists, and innovation advisors provide business- and product- life-cycle appropriate expertise for any size of company, across a range of market sectors. We cover a broad spectrum of biorefining technologies: from feedstock assessment to product evaluation we specialise in making the most out of biorenewable materials. From method development at the laboratory scale, through to process scale-up and demonstration, we support you to realise the commercial potential of your biobased products and processes.
