ABOUT MARK COCKERTON
With 40 years experience and counting in the NHS and not-for-profit urgent care sector, I\'ve been privileged to have had the opportunity to establish several new organisations, including Community Benefit Societies, and help them to secure healthcare contracts. Besides being Chief Executive at 3 urgent care providers in Croydon, Hertfordshire and City & Hackney, I\'ve undertaken a large number of interim roles including Director of Finance, Director of Operations, Director of Service Delivery, Strategic Advisor, Director of Transformation, General Manager etc. I write tenders for integrated urgent care and other NHS services. Following successful competitive tenders (and I\'ve been involved in a large number of successful bids from North Tees to Essex, Lancashire to Buckinghamshire, Merseyside to London) I also assist in mobilising the new services. Having worked in some capacity or other at more than 25 GP Out-of-Hours Providers since 1998, in addition to my national role as Advisor to the DH Urgent Care Team, I have a unique and wide-ranging experience of the urgent care sector. I\'m interested in supporting any organisations with an ethos of putting patient care before profits.
