About Mark Christensen

I am a passionate Sr. Manager / Principal Engineer with a certified 6 Sigma Black Belt and ESEP System Engineer certification. My primary role is to set the dryer architecture strategy for Whirlpool, reducing complexity and leading various dryer innovations. In my secondary role, I lead the company\'s System Engineering Tech Board. With both roles and current certifications, I have extensive experience in setting corporate and platform strategies, leading large and complex initiatives, and leading x-functional teams on projects. In previous roles, I have used this experience to help in the y=f(x) understanding of several appliance platforms and sub-systems. I used this experience to build knowledge dryer system models, developed the dryer system and subsystem requirements, and helped better understand our customers by developing and managing the Dryer House of Quality. Most of my career was in Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH), where I have extensive experience in Structural Stiffness using Modal Analysis, Sound Quality, Vehicle, Powertrain, and Appliance Testing. In addition to physical testing, I have some experience in FEA Analysis and Acoustic Simulations.
