When I joined Merrill in 1986, I never expected to feel so personally rewarded. Over the past 30 years, many clients have become close friends. I believe those relationships have resulted in great part from my approach to working with clients, which is highly personalized. At The Childs Group, we ask questions, listen and learn from both spouses, when possible – about their situations and aspirations. Frequent conversations help us create blueprints for clients to follow, as they face financial decisions down the road. WHO DO WE SERVE? Loyal clients in Georgia and nationwide – physicians (many with 401(k) plans) health care administrators, attorneys, business owners, corporate executives, and those who are retired, divorced or widowed. Many clients come to us with wealth, but little time to manage it. Helping clients prepare for key transitions is essential to providing superior wealth management. WHAT DO I BELIEVE? Going the \"extra mile\" for clients is never going out of our way. I am happy to serve as a \"go-to\" resource for clients – providing the names of doctors, contractors and schools, as examples. WHAT MAKES ME PROUD? • Client relationships span generations of families. Many clients are raising children, saving for college, or for their first home. My son and colleague, Josh, helps many of them explore their goals, so that our strategies can help them move from Point A to Point B, smoothly and logically. • With many clients having ambitions that extend to their children and charitable endeavors, we design philanthropic, estate planning strategies – often in concert with clients\' CPAs and attorneys. We also offer access to residential, commercial and securities-based lending, through Bank of America, N.A. • My wife, Judy, our two children and 3 granddaughter\'s. Near and dear to our hearts is our ongoing support of Operation Restoration Christian School and other ministries in Kingston and Trench Town, Jamaica.
