ProfileI am a Sports Psychology Master’s graduate and professional soccer coach with a deep-rooted passion for soccer and the development of young people through sport. I have successfully coached boys and girls soccer from novices to elite players across all ages. I have defined coaching standards, developed programs and “coached coaches”. I’ve worked extensively with players and parents, scouting, recruiting and facilitating the move from High School into Collegiate programs, both as a club director and as a college coach. I have designed and run fund raising events for the benefit of local charities that have raised awareness and strengthened community engagement. I have promoted and managed numerous tournaments & training camps and worked with local businesses to secure funding. Coaching PhilosophyI firmly believe that as coaches we should not just develop the on-field player, but build characteristics within our athletes that will enable them to have a positive impact on everyone around them, whether it be in an athletic, business or social environment. Skills such as teamwork, leadership, a “we not me” mentality and a desire to continuously improve are attributes that I try to develop within my players as well as displaying myself. I also believe that it is important that we as athletes and coaches support our local community through community service to both develop ourselves and to inspire others.
