Directed and managed the delivery of the British Army’s Human Machine Teaming Project, the first networked tactical uncrewed systems capability, overseeing a £60M programme from concept to operational deployment. Accountable for time, cost, and quality across multiple work packages, while ensuring integration with Defence processes and maintaining strong relationships with DE & S, Defence Digital, industry partners, and our core mission partner.Achievements• Strategic Stakeholder Leadership and Management: Acted as the lead interlocutor for the Army Sponsor, coordinating across industry, DE & S, end users, and mission partners to align requirements and enable delivery of a complex, high-profile programme.• Operational Success: Oversaw the delivery of 800+ prototype networked robotic autonomous systems to deployed soldiers in Estonia, directly influencing senior leadership decisions to take calculated risks. Delivered ahead of schedule, generating positive global recognition of the British Army’s commitment to modernisation.• Business Case & Governance: Authored and secured approvals for multiple business cases through rigorous Army and Defence scrutiny, successfully achieving investment decisions and contractual commitments.• Pioneering Experimentation: Introduced the concept of In-Service Experimentation, enabling iterative development with industry and significantly accelerating system performance improvements.• International Representation: Represented the UK at major international defence forums, briefing on Army innovation in the land domain. This drove new business-to-business and government-to-government collaborations, advancing knowledge-sharing and partnerships.
