ABOUT MARK BROSSMAN
I am a partner in the New York office of McDermott Will & Schulte and co-head of the firm’s Employment & Employee Benefits Group. I concentrate my practice on all aspects of ERISA, employment discrimination, labor relations, and related litigation. Another major focus of my practice is education law, and I represent a variety of educational institutions including independent schools, colleges, universities, professional training programs and education-related associations. I’ve advised educational institutions since graduating from law school and today provide counsel to more than 50 institutions. My practice also includes serving as counsel to many large multi-employer and single-employer employee benefit plans; health care institutions, including nursing homes and home care employers; and a wide variety of other clients in industries ranging from banks and financial institutions to textile and furniture to magazine publishing and transportation.I’m an avid writer and public speaker on industry-related topics, and have become a frequent source for employment and education law publications and conferences that cover ERISA, PPACA, employee benefits, education law, employment discrimination and labor relations. In addition, I’ve served as an instructor in the Columbia University Teacher’s College and as a lecturer in the Cornell University ILR School’s Labor Relations Studies Program.
