ABOUT MARK BOWLER
With over 15 years of global retail experience, I am a creative design studio manager at Coty, a leading beauty company with a portfolio of iconic brands. I lead and manage the in-house design team that focuses on creating temporary point-of-sale (POS) materials for the consumer beauty brands, such as Rimmel, Max Factor, and Sally Hansen. My core competencies include concept creation and design, project and production management, retail design, product presentation and training, window styling and propping, and team leadership. I collaborate closely with brand marketing, POS managers, and the VM and merchandising director to fulfill the business requirements by planning multiple work-streams and balancing the creative vision and objectives with running an efficient, lean, and effective team. I also research and implement project management software to streamline the design project processes from brief to completion and delivery. I am passionate about delivering exceptional on-brand experiences through visual merchandising for mono-brand and multi-brand stores. I have a proven track record of incorporating global trends and best practices to provide engaging environments that maximize brand loyalty. As a former head of visual merchandising for Level Shoes, the world\'s largest shoe-focused concept store, I contributed to double-digit growth of up to 25% year on year for traffic, sell-through, and gross sales for six consecutive years. I was also recognized as a Chalhoub Group Talent for eight years and won the Retailer of the Year award twice. I am agile and adaptable, having worked on various retail and marketing activations, sensory retailing, and brand launches for luxury and premium brands. I have also taken on short-term contracts as a creative specialist, such as the one I completed for Liwa Trading Enterprises LLC, where I led the rebranding and store design projects for two of their own concept brands. Additionally, I have been a full-time stay at home dad since March 2020, managing the household and caring for my children while pursuing my professional development and learning new skills.
