ABOUT MARK BOURASSA

Over 30 years experience in Air/Sea Interaction and Remote Sensing (typically from satellite and aircraft). Experience in designing satellite missions, such as the highly collaborative ODYSEA mission to measure ocean surface wind and current vectors, an earlier version of ODYSEA, and the Butterfly mission. A wealth of experience with oceanic and atmospheric observations (in situ and remote) and experience combining these observations. Recent interest includes high resolution coupled ocean/wave/atmosphere modeling and successes in modeling rapid intensity changes in hurricanes.>20 years experience teaching and mentoring students at Florida State University.
