Responsible for the delivery of counter fraud services as part of a small specialist team to a portfolio of NHS organisations. Adept at creating a strong anti-fraud culture, through proactive deterrence, prevention and detection activity. Has over 40 years’ investigative experience. Skills have been honed to routinely carry out criminal investigations into the full range of fraud and other related offences with the aim to apply appropriate criminal and civil sanctions, together with disciplinary sanctions (via HR and professional bodies). Whilst working in the Health Service these skills have been further developed to include qualification and a specialist interest in OSINT work, document fraud and cyber-fraud. Reporting directly to the relevant Chief Executive, Finance Director and Audit Committee on all fraud and financial risk related matters, providing them with appropriate technical advice and guidance. Further support is provided to relevant organisations through fraud risk assessment, communication, policy provision and delivery of professional fraud awareness training to NHS staff. Externally, close liaison is maintained with relevant law enforcement and multi-disciplinary agencies on behalf of the organisation.
