Working as a Contract Operations Manager with responsibility for the effective running of multiple accounts and projects on a top tier COMAH siteResponsible for planning, setting up and managing operations as well as maintaining plant machinery and organizing the transportation of hazardous chemicalsUsing effective communication and inter-personal skills to negotiate with unions with regard to wages as well as undertaking any necessary HR dutiesAdditionally responsible for the preparation of KPIs, budgeting and finance, compiling risk assessments and safe systems of work, COSHH audits and all aspects of health and safety. Obtained SQAS standard in 2009 we are the only chemical site to have done this with in the DHL network.As a on site sub-contractor dealing with highly inflammable and toxic chemicals the site drums and transports to client specification all around the world dealing with major companies in Hong Kong Dubai and the emirates, dealing with, clear brine fluid, flame retardant, fumigants, hacto lubricant, house cleaner, petroleum additives and fluids, plastic additives, pool and spa chemicals, rubber chemicals and urethane\'s. All customers require there own spec and transporting requirements. As haulage of these chemicals is hazardous the health and safety of employees as well as the general public, product training and transport regulations for all staff and drivers is continuous, also liaising with emergency services to put in place policy and procedure should a spillage /leakage event occur either on site or during transport also security instructions are changed and renewed on a regular basis as to avert any threat of theft from criminal organizations
