I am a Director at Leavitt Partners, a health care consulting firm that provides insights and solutions for the evolving health care system. I help health care organizations, payers, and innovators navigate complex policy and interoperability challenges to improve patient access and outcomes.Over the past decade, I’ve led multi-stakeholder alliances and advised on CMS-aligned strategies that accelerate adoption of FHIR and HL7 standards. My work spans digital health ecosystems, value-based care models, and regulatory compliance—turning policy into actionable solutions for clients nationwide.What drives me? The belief that better data exchange and smarter policy design can transform care delivery. From convening alliances to shaping credentialing frameworks, I thrive at the intersection of technology, regulation, and collaboration.As both a leader of the CARIN Alliance, a non-partisan, multi-sector coalition advancing consumer-directed exchange of health information and Leavitt Partners I have overseen the development and release of several foundational HL7 FHIR implementation guides, including: • CARIN IG for Blue Button (Patient Access API) • CARIN Digital Insurance Card (now in use by millions of Americans) • CARIN Real-Time Pharmacy Benefit Check IG • SMART Health Cards and Links IG (as co-lead) • Patient Information Quality Improvement (PIQI) Framework IG (currently in development)I frequently represent both CARIN and Leavitt Partners at HL7 FHIR Connectathons, national conferences, and other industry forums, where I engage on interoperability, digital health, and consumer empowerment.At the heart of my work is a passion for empowering individuals to achieve their health and wellness goals by leveraging digital tools and trusted data.
