I edited monthly feature stories by scientists and technology leaders (including Bill Gates) and wrote news stories and editorials. I also wrote a monthly technology column. In 2008, after I sold my first novel to Simon & Schuster, I began to write fiction full-time but remained a contributing editor at Scientific American.
