About Mark Aldoroty
As a lifelong New Yorker, it’s fitting that I found my way to a career on Wall Street. I’ve worked in financial services for 30 years and have experienced the markets during their highs and their lows. If there’s one thing that my professional experiences have taught me, it’s that change is constant. That’s why I love this industry. There’s always a new challenge to face or a new problem to solve. It\'s in that same spirit that I\'ve challenged myself throughout my career, building experience in a variety of areas including computer science, accounting, funding and currently prime brokerage. My unique background allows me to view financial services from many angles, developing creative solutions for alternative investment managers.Navigating the ever-changing landscape of regulations and capital rules is a primary focus for me. It’s not always easy to strike the right balance between profitability, risk and expenses. With my team I’ve found success in growing a business and increasing revenue despite the inevitable headwinds the markets may present to us as well as our clients. One of the most rewarding aspects of my position is the opportunity to mentor the next generation of financial services leaders. I’ve benefited throughout my career from the insight and encouragement of mentors, so I make every effort to offer the same support to my colleagues. I’m also a proud male ally of WIN, BNY Mellon’s women’s network.Outside of the office, I keep an active lifestyle by riding my bike on the weekends or skiing in winter. I also enjoy checking out new restaurants in town and traveling.
