My belief is that as technology advances the line between Biomed and I.T. is getting very thin and find myself currently taking steps to be prepared for the future. As medical technology is integrated with information technology systems cyber security is more and more crucial. In addition to the safety of equipment for use on patients our concerns extend to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) to maintain compliance. I\'m a Biomedical Technician who is currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s Degree in Applied Business Management through Brigham Young University Idaho (BYUI) with a focus on Information Technology. I\'m excited to be apart of this new frontier that combines the physical safety of patients with the safety of medical records and can\'t wait to see what\'s next.
