About Mark A. Aiello

I am a partner and attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP where I chair the firm’s Automotive Team. I focus on business transactions and litigation, including acquisitions and divestitures, regulatory and governance matters, supply chain matters, warranty and recall issues, and intellectual property matters. My experience ranges from representing large businesses in complex matters to counseling small, closely held businesses concerning a wide range of commercial matters.I am fortunate to have been nationally ranked by Chambers USA: Leading Business Lawyers in the area of Transportation (Automotive) and recognized by Michigan Super Lawyers.I received my J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, where I was associate editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy. I also studied business at Yale University after obtaining my bachelor’s degree in finance, with high honors, from Michigan State University.I am an attorney advising on business law topics and have written a number of published materials on business matters. I have considerable experience in commercial matters, having coauthored treatises on contract and commercial law. While in law school, I interned for General Motors Corporation and have particular knowledge representing and advising automotive suppliers and contractors in complex matters, including representation with business planning and in litigation.
